How to create your own cattery
Step 1 - The Family
First of all you need to have the Game "The Sims 3" plus the Expension Pack "Sims 3 Pets".
Install everything and create a new family. Choose your cattery owner and create him/her as you like.
Now create a new pet, a cat, and change it until you think you're done.
Make sure that it looks realistic and fits the breed standards of it's breed.

Step 2 - The Lot
Now create a lot for your cattery, make it as big as you want - i would recommend using a 64x64 lot.
Build up your kennel on it with enaugh spaces for all your current and future cats.
It's your choice how you build up everything.
Step 3 - Taking Pictures
Place your family on the lot. If it's too expensive, open the cheat window (press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C) and type in "freerealestate". Then click at your family again and place it on your cattery lot. Now make sure that you take good pictures of your cats to present them in their best ways.
You can for example place it in front of a white wall and a white floor, but it's easier and looks better to place the cat on the backdrop, that you can download here: *LINK*
Take the pictures you need to register your cats (front, back, left right) and just take a few more for your future cattery website.
To get great poses for your cats, have a look at the custom content area on this forum.
Step 4 - Register your cats
Register your cats through our website here: *LINK*
Use the pictures you took with the backdrop and just send them with the formular as an email to our main registry.
You will receive a email with the registration documents for your cats, only with these documents your cats are registered, if you only send in the formular and haven't received an respond yet, your cats are just pending.
So wait for an answer and please be patient.
Step 5 - Your Website
To present your cattery to other members you should have an website, where you present your cats and the facilities, as well as the staff and your current, planned and past litters. To create a website for free, i would recommend using Wix.com or Weebly.com. These are for free and quiet easy to use.
You just register yourself and then create a free website for your cattery.
Step 6 - Enter Contests
Now and then you will find Shows and Competitions at this forum. Just read through the rules, take the required pictures of your cats, fill out the form and post it at the thread. So you entered your cats and they will maybe receive points when the Competition is judged.
If your cats have earned enaugh points, they will receive a title. The title shows the breeding quality of your cat and stands for great show potential.
Go your own way.
From this point on, you can just go your own way. Be creative, friendly and active, then your cattery will be blessed with a great future.
